Liverpool play host to
already-relegated Queens Park Rangers on Sunday – on the final day of both, the
2012/13 Premier League season and more significantly, Jamie Carragher’s
illustrious playing career.
The reds sauntered to a
three-nil win in the reverse fixture against QPR on 30th December
2012, and a similar scoreline is widely anticipated here, as Liverpool go in search
of their 16th victory of the 2012/13 Premier League and strive to shake off their record of not winning on the final day of a season since 2009.
View from the other side:
§ “How qpr
will do - lose. who we fear - everyone. 3-0 to you and I'm being optimistic.” –
QPR fan @grant165.
§ “I will be
going to Anfield to watch my #qpr play there last EPL game hopefully for 1
season, & pay respect to J Carragher.” – QPR fan @paulpower62
§ “Something
approaching Liverpool 8 QPR 1!” – QPR fan @QPRReport
§ “just pray
its not too painful. I know a lot of Liverpool fans” – QPR fan @Tdench23Tony
One to watch: Andros Townsend - flourishing in his first real run of PL football.
Liverpool’s last six: WDWDDD
Queens Park Rangers’ last
six: LLDLLD
My prediction: Liverpool 4-0 Queens Park Rangers
